An ancient farm

We restored this House and its land after it had been neglected for about ten years. The farm consists of 18 acres where we cultivate organic aromatic and medicinal plants. We also gather wild plants from the land left to Mediterranean ‘scrub’.

Our philosophy

The company “Le Germandine” was established in 1993 in Liguria under the name “Il Giardino dei Semplici”, but we moved to Suvereto in 2009 when we fell in love with the landscape and the rich vegetation here.

Cultivation

We try to cultivate plants in places most suitable to their natural habitat so that they only require intervention in an emergency, for example watering in periods of drought.

Transformation

All the plants are harvested at the optimum time and immediately transformeted in alcoholic extracts or dried in our Health-Ministry licenced laboratory.

Agriturismo

Guest accommodation has been recently renovated using green building techniques, and preserving the original materials and the Tuscan architecture.
Our farm has low environmental impact, as we practice organic agricolture.
We can welcome our guests in a double room with bathroom and one apartment with four beds.
